The VRARA College & University Committee is pleased to announce that Professor Anastasios (Tassos) Mikropoulos, Department of Primary Education, University of Ioannina, will present at our next Meet on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM ET (New York) / 7:00 PM EEST (Athens). Professor Mikropoulos will share insights on The Added Value of Extended Reality in Education: Pedagogical Frameworks, Technological and Pedagogical Affordances.

Dr. Mikropoulos is a professor of ICT and Virtual Reality in Education at the University of Ioannina, where he directs the Educational Approaches to Virtual Reality Technologies Laboratory. He also serves as chair of the Hellenic Association of ICT in Education. His academic contributions have received international recognition, with more than 4,700 citations. He has been principal investigator for numerous research, development, and educational projects, and in both 2022 and 2024, he was ranked among the top 2% of scientists and researchers worldwide in terms of research impact.
